Ellen Page does a 180 for her role in Smart People. She stars as Dennis Quaid’s conservative daughter who has to deal with her distant father and his relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker. That’s a lot to deal with. All those fake flowers, shawls, and overpriced shoes.

Ellen probably wants to forget Juno ever happened at that point. Have you ever seen such a hipster backlash? Every bitch in America was like “oh, they are trying just SO HARD to be cool!” It was a f*cking movie! Chill! It was cutesy. Yeah, it had an overly precious soundtrack, but that’s no need to storm the castle.

Ellen’s plus taking those babydyke rumors on headfirst by starring as a lesbian teenager in Jack and Diane. She plays a girl who thinks she’s a werewolf and is obsessed by another girl played by her Juno co-star Olivia Thirlby. That sounds like some dykecentric Charmed

fanfic slash right there. The kind that is written by married women in their late twenties who watch a lot of TV series on DVD and frequent Livejournal.
